Short Presentations in the Workplace

As well as providing half-day suicide awareness training, the Suicide Awareness Partnership can also deliver short suicide awareness presentations in the workplace.

These sessions will help to raise awareness of the issue in workplaces, and may be particularly useful to businesses who may not immediately think that suicide is any of their concern. The presentation would generally be about 30 minutes long, although can be amended to fit depending on requirements.

To date, short presentations have been given to; GP surgeries, a Territorial Army company, community foodbanks, various voluntary agencies and, specifically on self-harm, to staff in schools.

If you are interested in hosting a Suicide Awareness presentation in your workplace, wish to discuss your requirements, or just want to find out more about what can be offered, please contact the relevant SAPT Project Officer for the area where you are based: Contact Us

We provide half-day suicide awareness training, which is open to everyone. We especially encourage attendance from those whose work is likely to bring them into contact with people who may be vulnerable to suicide or self-harm.

If you have found your way to this website because you are in distress, and may be thinking of taking your own life, then please do seek help urgently. The   Help in a crisis section suggests some useful sources of help and support.
